AAR Morris County Library Exhibit

See the Exhibit Announcement for more information.

The Art Association In Roxbury members have been invited to exhibit work at the Morris County Library Atrium Gallery during the month of August. Work previously exhibited in any AAR show or at the County Library, crafts, computer generated or enhanced art, copies, giclees, and reproductions are not acceptable. Paintings should be suitably framed for hanging with wire and screw eyes- no sawtooth hangers or pressure clips. Maximum dimensions 36” in width or height including frame. AAR reserves the right to decline any work deemed inappropriate. Work must remain in the exhibit until the pick up date.

Receiving will be on Thursday July 29, 2010 from 12 noon to 4 pm. Pick up is Tuesday August 31, 2010 from 2 to 5 PM.

This new venue is for Art Association In Roxbury current paid members only, and is for exhibition and sales only. There will be no judging, awards, artist reception, or entry fee. Artists who make sales from the exhibit are asked to consider making a donation to the Morris County Library Foundation through our AAR treasurer. Members are limited to one entry at this time. (If AAR member participation is minimal artists will be notified of the possibility of submitting more than one entry.)

Members interested in exhibiting should mail the following information to: Elmer Dey, 25 Long Valley Blvd., Long Valley, NJ 07853. Or send the same information by email to: edey@att.net (include AAR August 2010 in the title line). Elmer will confirm online entries. Roxbury PAC at Horseshoe Lake

Elmer Day met with Roxbury Councilman Chris Smith and reviewed the possibility of exhibiting at the Roxbury PAC at Horseshoe Lake. They do not have a lighting system or hanging system installed yet. He reviewed a variety of options for hanging and lighting systems, and Chris will start to gather information about the costs of the various alternatives. They are also interested in student exhibits there, which would require some type of corkboard panel system along the walls.
