Let’s get out and draw! 

You’re invited to join The Art Association in Roxbury for Sketching at Horseshoe Lake in Succasunna on Sunday, October 11 Wednesday, October 14. This is an opportunity to loosen up, let go of perfectionism, and try something fresh!

Date: Sunday, October 11

Location: Horseshoe Lake Park, 72 Eyland Avenue, Succasunna

Time: 10am - 12:30pm

Parking: Fairgrounds parking lot. To get there, follow the paved road around the lake. (See the highlighted map). Please drive slowly and carefully- the road is a bit narrow and there are usually walkers and children on the road.

Morning meet up: 10am at the waterfront benches near the Veteran’s Memorial.

Afternoon meet up to share our work: 12pm at the Gazebo 

(bring a snack for yourself if you’d like)

About the location: Horseshoe Lake park has beautiful views over the water, lots of trees, and lots of interesting curving paths to draw. The park features a ½ mile walking path around the lake. There are plenty of benches but bring a stool if you want more flexibility. Other features are the Veteran’s Memorial, 9/11 memorial, and a lovely gazebo.

Bring: art supplies you are comfortable with and water. There is a public bathroom near the entrance to the park, but it is distant from where we will be meeting. There are porta potties nearby in the fairgrounds parking lot.

This is a free event and artists of all levels are welcome!
